Nicole has been an active participant in the world of film and digital media since matriculating from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, with degrees in both Film Production & Drama.
Gellman has helped develop and run a non-profit summer film school for youth
(https://filmcampforkids.com), worked as a contract director & editor in narrative, commercial and documentary media with clients that include a New York Times best-selling author, written and directed award winning short films, and most recently directed a digital ad campaign for a national commercial in the United States. She is also proud to have worked as the 1st Assistant Director and Assistant Editor for a short film that selected to play at Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival.
With a history of performing that includes the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and most recently leading two short films in 2020, Gellman is enjoying working to develop her own content for performance.
Looking ahead, Gellman is most interested in work that champions diverse female stories/storytellers, as well as stories that can create impact and awareness for social and environmental change.
Happy to announce that ROUTINE - a short film directed by Anitra Stevens, DGA has been selected to premiere (so far) at the California Women' Film Festival & the Independent Short Film Awards, with many nominations.
